Summary: What a wonderful gift...
Comment: I recieved this as a christmas gift from my mother. I don't generally like to try or experiment with new chocolates as I am very picky about taste and texture. But as my mom gave this to me and raved about its taste so I thought I'd give it a try. I am so glad that I did!!
At first I had an issue with the texture but I discovered that if you melt it in a couple of tablespoons of very hot water, then add the rest of the rest of the boiling water (or heated milk if you prefer)it makes the texture smooth and delicious!! I have even made the pudding and it came out fabulous!
This hot chocolate is definately worth a try!

Comment: I love chocolate
I love dark chocolate, especially for my drinking chocolate.
I should have been suspicious when on the label it says you can make pudding from this as well...which should have alerted me right off the bat that there are other ingredients in the tin--not just chocolate and some sugar...it must be cornstarch.
Marie Belle makes a big deal of the fact that this is NOT cocoa, but cacao...that's why I fell for the hype...but in the end, it's the flavor that counts, and this one...I guess because of the corn starch...has a strange "mouth feel" and flavor that I find unpleasant.
I find the French brand L'Ancienne far superior...and my favorite drinking chocolate is
Charbonnell et Walker, which is not for sale (yet) on Amazon.

Comment: If you like dark chocolate you will love this cocoa. It is rich and smooth and a real treat. The pudding receipe is also yummy!
The dark is not tart like some dark chocolates. I have to say I now prefer this over the Marie Belle Regular Hot Chocolate and will continue to order it from Amazon b/c with shipping it is cheaper than direct from Marie Belle Site.
